The Zoning Board of Appeals reviews applications for interpretation of Zoning Law or Zoning maps, Special Use Permits, Area Variances, or Use Variances, and serves to appeal the action of the Building Inspector or Zoning Enforcement Officer.

A NATIONWIDE EMAIL SCAM IS TARGETING PEOPLE WITH APPLICATIONS BEFORE PLANNING & ZONING BOARDS

Scammers are sending fake emails requesting application fees or escrow payments by wire transfer.

Important reminder: The Town of New Paltz will NEVER request payments by links or wire transfer. All fees are paid in person/by mail at our Town Hall.

Few safety tips include:

Checking the email address, an email address from the town will end with ‘@townofnewpaltzny.gov’

Residents should hover over links before clicking them

Watch for threatening or urgent language

Never share personal or financial information by email
