Building Department

The Health, Safety, and Welfare of the Town of New Paltz is the Building Department's highest priority.

We are here to assist you with understanding local land use laws, to issue building permits, and to ensure that your project is completed safely and in accordance with all Town requirements, as well as all State Building Codes. We provide for a minimum level of protection from the hazards of fire, and improper maintenance in residential and non-residential structures through the enforcement of Local and State laws, rules, and regulations.
