Phoenix's Mission

Phoenix R. Kawamoto is the Community Education Coordinator for the Town of New Paltz and serves as the department head for the Office for Community Wellness (OCW).  He works with key stakeholders, parents, and youth to develop and coordinate workshops, programs, and activities for all ages.  An extensive network of community-based organizations, service providers, businesses, etc. donate their time and resources in support of the OCW's efforts to foster wellness withing New Paltz.

Community members are invited to contact Phoenix to schedule an appointment if they have qustions, programming ideas, or concerns they would like to discuss with him.  Please call him at (845) 275-5413.  In addition, starting November 18th, they can stop by his office at the New Paltz Community Center, located at 3 Veterans Drive in New Paltz on Mondays between 4:00pm - 6:00pm (with the exception of holidays, vacation, or closings due to winter weather conditions).
